Salut a tous! Please forgive me to write in English. I just like to show you the latest MST CMX video I made past week in the Swiss nature: Hope you like it, any question please let me know. Thanks for watching and cheers, Tom
Hello, Very nice video and perfect Rig. can you show us some pictures of your truck? I'm working on a nearly same project and I had to change my plan for some technical issues. First, when I put the body direct on the front shock towers, I have to much clearance between tire (1.55 baja MTZ) and the arches. Yours looks very good. Do you use the original transmission in the original position? mine look ahead the windshield. I'm about to print in 3D a new transmission housing (to put it under the hood), a transfert case and new front shock towers agains all my problems.
Thank you very much my friends for the great feedbacks!! I missed to make a build thread, but you may find some pictures of the car on my Instagram: @toms_rc_scaler • Instagram photos and videos But I know what you mean with the clearance between tire (1.55 baja MTZ) and the arches.. . I had the same issue and solved it with slightly bigger wheels and tires. The tires I used are 1.9 S.D.I. Scale Doctors. I think they still look scale on the truck and their performance is outstanding. To solve the other issue with the gear case / motor position I used a simple trick: just turned the compete gear unit including motor by 180 degrees and mounted it like this on the bottom plate. This moves the "fat" side of the unit towards the front. Sure, a solution with transfer case and a new gear unit under the hood would be more scale. An option would be to use the HPI gear reduction case, but I personally don't like it very much because it makes quite a lot of noise and the gearing reduction is too much for my taste. An own 3D printed transmission housing? Would be veery cool!!
